We went to the Museo Archeologico (en, it) this morning (Piazza SS. Annunziata). It rates an okay only because a few key sections were closed because there was not enough “staff” to babysit visitors – so that was disappointing, but overall the parts we saw were interesting. And photos, no flash, are allowed. (Really, the central garden being off limits was just too much for me to take!)
There was a big display on PaoloEmilio Percorella, a famous Italian archeologist, who died in 2005 in an accident during an excavation.
