Italian Language

These posts are dedicated to interesting aspects of the Italian language and Italian culture we've encountered on our Italian language odyssey. (It's never ending.)

These posts are aimed at those with some familiarity with the Italian language. The observations target existing Italian language students who are interested in subtleties of the language that maybe are not obvious at first glance.

The following posts deal with observations about the Italian language and culture as seen through "signs", by which we mean street signs, graffiti, advertising, handwritten notes, and really any grouping of words we encounter in a typical day. The signs are mini-language lessons as well as a glimpse into cultural aspects of Italy.

  1. I recently discovered your site with explanations of the Italian language. Windows Copilot AI referred to your text. Very useful. Thank you!
Have you ever written something to explain the use and meaning of the word CE eg in a sentence like this: Non ce la fai da solo.

    1. Did see your question until now. No, haven't written anything on ce, but it's a good idea!
