Composite of 25 albums covers in the Travelmarx Winter 2023 playlist.

Our first post of 2023 and let’s start off with some new music and a little awe[1]. There is so much interesting music to discover. We are always amazed how new music can transport us out of ourselves and give us a little awe.

Every weekend we set aside a few hours to go through all the songs we texted ourselves or Shazamed throughout the week. Our ears are always tuned in. Here are on some of our picks that stood out for us in the last few months in one Spotify playlist. About half the tracks are recent, released after 2020.

[1] We recently saw this article How a Bit of Awe Can Improve Your Health in the NYT and we completely agree with the idea of cultivating and celebrating awe. Good music helps. From the article: “Awe is the feeling of being in the presence of something vast that transcends your understanding of the world...".
