Composite image of 20 album covers with underwater themes
Several albums in this batch of 20 are famous for their imagery such as Nirvana's 1991 “Nevermind” cover featuring a baby following a dollar sign on a hook and Weird Al’s spoof. Other underwater-themed covers that might be less well known but are memorable are the elegant Catherine Wheel 1993 “Chrome” cover and Eddie Vedder’s 2011 “Ukulele Songs”. The Catherine Wheel cover was shot in an indoor swimming pool by Storm Thorgerson of the renowned Hipgnosis design company. The Vedder cover art shows a sculpture "The Lost Correspondent" by Jason deCaires Taylor, which is underwater with other pieces at at Moliniere Bay – Underwater Sculpture Park, in Grenada.
Some our favorites albums musically are the Little River Band’s 1982 “Greatest Hits”, Argent’s 1973 “In Deep”, and Orchestra du Soleil’s 2001 “A summer day by the Lake”. The latter album is an obscure release.
