Music Album Covers with Five People on Them – Quintets – Part 3

This is post 3 of 3 showing music album covers with five people on them - almost always five group members. These albums with quintets range from the 1970s to the 2000s. (post1, post2)

The main reason why we create these music mosaics, and share them, is that album covers are still a great way to discover new music. Our criteria for selecting albums in this post are that all members are shown on the cover, the cover is visually interesting, and it’s music we are familiar with. That said, it leaves out a lot.

There are many (many) groups that have five more or less stable members, but they are rarely seen on the album cover. If they are pictured, it’s typically on a compilation. The Millennium Series is always good for a picture of the group.

There is also the question of fluctuating numbers of group members, sometimes 5 but sometimes less or more in the history of the group. If they are five members on the cover, we feature the album.

The order of the albums is more or less alphabetical. It’s hard to order by date when dealing with compilations.

Barenaked Ladies - Au Naturale Live (2005)
DeBarge - The Millennium Collection (2000)
